SCHOLASTIC SPRING BOOK FAIR - First Week of March, 2009

The spring book fair will have a "movie-making" theme during the week of March 2nd - 6th.  The Scholastic Book Fair will be open late two nights this spring to accomodate working parents.  Friday, March 6th, the PTO will be holding a Fiesta Night, and the book fair will be open as well!  Students and parents can stock up on good reading choices to take along on spring break!  All the latest picture and chapter books will be available for young and old alike.  And don't forget - no tax on book fair purchases!

                                                                              Yours in Reading,  Miss Yonally

OPEN LIBRARY STARTED NOVEMBER 10th!

Students in Grades 3-8 are able to come to the Library/Media Center (LMC) on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. for research, quiet homework time and general use of the facility.  There is no charge to attend.  Open Library hours come from tax credit donations made possible through the generosity of Desert Mountain parents and staff members participating in the tax credit program provided to Arizona taxpayers.

Ms. Yonally, Teacher/Librarian, will be on hand to assist students with any individual needs.  Students can pick up forms for individual days at the LMC.  Forms are good for that day's visit only.  An activity bus will be available at 5:00 p.m. for bus riders.

If interested in your Grade 3-8 child participating, please return the attached release form, with your signature for the day requested.
